Founded in 2000, makelike is a multi-disciplinary graphic design collective headed by artist/designers Mary Kysar and Topher Sinkinson. They are based out of Portland, Oregon and have a small studio in New Orleans, Louisiana. Available at The Pattern Collective
Overview Based on topographical maps, this one-color wallpaper is hand-screenprinted using water-based inks on recyclable paper. This paper is also available in two additional colorways. They are based out of Portland, Oregon and have a small studio in New Orleans, Louisiana. Their studio’s design mission is to create work that is unique, sophisticated and covetable—and almost definitely includes at least one pattern. They started their product line in 2009, with a focus on specialty wallpaper and textiles. Today, they also design, illustrate and produce custom patterns and wallpaper for interior design and architectural clients that have specific needs. The makelike shop illustrates, designs and produces their own line of luxury hand-screen-printed wallpaper and textiles for the home.
