The Japanese company Asahi Kasei has developed a process to produce a viscose-like knitted fabric from the waste product. While for a long time this was only possible with the environmentally harmful use of copper and ammonia, Asahi Kasei can now produce the fiber in a more environmentally friendly way and has, among other things, the Global Recycling Standard certificate. Our Italian supplier processes the fibers from Japan into a fabric with a silky yet warm feel.
