Born on the island village of Motunui with an inherited love for the seas and voyaging, Moana is the daughter of Chief Tui and Sina. When her island becomes endangered by a life-killing darkness, Moana is chosen by the ocean to journey across the sea and save the world with the help of the shape-shifting demigod Maui.
