Original Artwork - Loose as Issued. - Kayser Bondor Ltd, Baldock. - 1952 - Condition: Very Good - Not applicable - An original artist drawn advert poster design for underwear, specifically Brassieres, some chips at edges, a little age toning to the paper. The design shows two images of the same woman, one image in a bra and the other in a dress and fully made up. It is a pencil and coloured graphite or crayon and fully finished and dated 4/8/52. for either a poster or magazine advert? No artist or designer name. Measures; 14.5 x 10 inches. (36 x 25 cm). NOTE* This company at one time accounted for over 12% of the world's total sales of underwear after the war and based in the UK in Baldock and Merthyr Tydfil in Wales. ALSO a certain Andy Warhol in his advertising days worked on several of their adverts for ladies underwear. AND These striking poses of the same lady, quite masculine and NOT a regular 1950's "male idealized view" artist model style one would normally expect in this era in advertising at least. This is the antithesis of that over-glamorized treatment and interesting for that connotation alone.
